The Snowy Mountains
The Australian Ski Season commences from the June Long Weekend and runs until the October Long Weekend. Although we cannot guarantee specific weather conditions, below is a general outline of what to expect in an average winter season.
Value – June and September to End of Season
As the name suggests our value season provides the opportunity to experience all of the benefits of an “on snow” stay at very affordable prices. When coupled with Perisher’s modern snowmaking technology and our fantastic family or small group discounts, June and September dates are a great option, particularly if you are new to the whole snow thing? Also, keep an eye out for several resort festivals during June and September.
Mid – July
It’s starting to get colder, with the chance of increased natural falls (or dumps) to transform Perisher into the winter wonderland it’s famous for. This is a very popular time in Perisher, but heaps of deals can still be found generally outside of the July school holidays.
Peak – August
What can we say about August except, SNOW, SNOW glorious snow! Traditionally this is the best time to be in the Australian Alps, with winter’s blizzards being replaced by picture perfect days and countless smiles of happy snow seekers.
